What the Coronavirus is Changing at Howard University

The Coronavirus has changed a lot in the past week and a half. Here are some updates:

Commencement and all class reunions have been canceled.

An attendee of the 2020 Charter Day Dinner has tested positive for the Coronavirus. The university urges everyone who attended and feels flu-like symptoms to get tested.

Howard University Alternative Spring Break 2020 has been suspended as announced in an HU Communications email on 3/12/2020.

Residents have been urged to make arrangements to leave for their permanent addresses by Sunday, March 22. The Office of Residence Life will coordinate a time for students to get the rest of their belongings.

Students will not return to campus for the rest of the semester and classes will resume online.

The health insurance included in student fees, University and United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR), covers COVID-19 testing.
